The tour begins in Uganda, where you will spend the first six days exploring some of the country's most iconic national parks, including Kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. You will have the opportunity to track chimpanzees in Kibale Forest, go on a game drive and a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel in Queen Elizabeth National Park, and track gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

After exploring Uganda, you will fly to Nairobi, Kenya, where you will visit Lake Nakuru National Park and Masai Mara National Reserve. In Lake Nakuru National Park, you will get the chance to see flamingos and other water birds, while in Masai Mara National Reserve, you will go on full-day game drives to witness the annual wildebeest migration and see a diverse array of wildlife, including lions, elephants, cheetahs, and giraffes.

The tour will end with a visit to Lake Naivasha National Park, where you will take a boat safari and witness the diverse birdlife and other wildlife found in this area. From here, you will depart back to Uganda via Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

Itinerary

  • Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our tour guide, who will be waiting for you at the airport. Our guide will have a placard with your name on it, making it easy to identify them.Once you have met our guide, they will assist you with your luggage and lead you to the vehicle waiting outside. Our guide will give you a brief introduction to Uganda and the itinerary for your tour, answering any questions you may have along the way.The drive from Entebbe to Kampala takes approximately 45 minutes, depending on traffic. You will pass through some of the urban areas in Kampala before reaching your hotel, where you will check-in and have some time to rest after your flight.Our guide will ensure that you have settled in comfortably and will provide you with all the necessary information about the hotel, including meal times and any additional services offered. If time allows, our guide can take you on a short city tour of Kampala, where you can explore the markets and other attractions.You will spend the night at the hotel in Kampala, resting and preparing for your adventure-packed tour in Uganda and Kenya.


  • After breakfast, you will depart for Fort Portal, a charming town located in western Uganda. You will drive through the beautiful countryside, passing through small villages and lush green forests. Upon arrival in Fort Portal, you will check in at your lodge and have lunch.In the afternoon, you will have the option to visit the nearby crater lakes or take a guided walk through the nearby tea plantations. You will then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.


  • After breakfast, you will head to Kibale Forest National Park, home to over 13 species of primates, including the chimpanzees. Upon arrival at the park, you will attend a briefing by the park rangers on the dos and don'ts while in the forest. You will then proceed to the forest to start your chimpanzee tracking adventure.You will walk through the forest, following the chimp's loud calls until you spot them. Once you find them, you will spend an hour observing and taking photographs of these fascinating primates. After the chimpanzee tracking, you will return to the lodge for lunch.In the afternoon, you will take a guided swamp walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, located just outside the national park. During the walk, you will have a chance to see various bird species, primates, butterflies, and other wildlife that inhabit the swamp. You will then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

     


  • After breakfast, you will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is located in the western part of Uganda. Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of Uganda's most popular national parks, covering an area of 1,978 square kilometers. It is located in the western part of Uganda and is home to a diverse range of wildlife species. After breakfast, you will depart from your lodge and drive to the park, where you will check in at your lodge and have lunch.In the afternoon, you will go for a game drive in the park, accompanied by a knowledgeable guide who will help you spot the various wildlife species. The game drive will take you through different parts of the park, including the Kasenyi plains, which is a vast savannah grassland where you can spot herds of buffaloes, elephants, and antelopes grazing.As you drive through the park, you may also spot lions lounging in the grass or climbing trees, as well as leopards hiding in the trees. The park is also home to various primates such as baboons, vervet monkeys, and black-and-white colobus monkeys. You may also spot warthogs, hyenas, and various bird species.The game drive typically lasts for about 3-4 hours, depending on the sightings and your interests. After the game drive, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight. The afternoon game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park offers a unique opportunity to witness the rich wildlife diversity of Uganda in its natural habitat.


  • After breakfast, you will go for a morning game drive in the park, where you will have the opportunity to see more wildlife such as lions, leopards, hyenas, and more. You will then return to the lodge for lunch.In the afternoon, you will go for a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, which is a natural waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. During the boat safari, you will have the opportunity to see various wildlife such as hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and more. You will then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.


  • After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Mutanda, a scenic lake located in southwestern Uganda near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Upon arrival, you will check in at your lodge and have lunch.In the afternoon, you will have the option to take a canoe ride on the lake or relax and enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. You will then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.


  • After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers on the dos and don'ts while tracking the gorillas. The briefing will cover the importance of conserving the gorillas and their habitat, as well as safety precautions to be observed while in the forest.Once the briefing is over, you will be divided into groups of 8 people or fewer, each led by an experienced guide. You will then embark on your gorilla tracking adventure, which can take anywhere from 1 to 8 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas.the trek will take you through dense vegetation, steep slopes, and sometimes muddy and slippery terrain. However, the sights and sounds of the forest, as well as the anticipation of seeing the gorillas, make the trek worthwhile.When you find the gorillas, you will spend an hour with them, observing their behavior and taking photographs. You will be amazed by their gentle nature, and you will have a chance to witness their social interactions, feeding habits, and grooming rituals.After the hour is over, you will say goodbye to the gorillas and start the trek back to the park headquarters. Once there, you will receive a certificate of participation in gorilla tracking, as well as an opportunity to purchase souvenirs and support the local community.You will then return to your lodge for a late lunch and spend the rest of the day at leisure, reflecting on your unforgettable gorilla tracking experience.


  • After breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and depart for Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda. You will drive through the beautiful countryside, passing through small villages and lush green forests. Along the way, you will stop at the Equator for a photo opportunity and to learn about the geographical significance of this location.Upon arrival in Kigali, you will have a brief city tour, including a visit to the Genocide Memorial Center to learn about the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi that claimed over a million lives. You will then have lunch before being transferred to the airport for your flight to Nairobi.Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met by our tour representative who will transfer you to your hotel in the city. You will have the rest of the day to relax and explore the city at your own leisure. You can choose to visit some of the city's attractions such as the Nairobi National Park or the Karen Blixen Museum, or simply relax and unwind at your hotel. You will have dinner at the hotel and spend the night in Nairobi.


  • After breakfast at your lodge, you will check out and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is located in the Rift Valley Province of Kenya and is known for its beautiful lake, which is a popular spot for flamingos and other water birds.Upon arrival at the park, you will check in at your lodge and have lunch. After lunch, you will go for an afternoon game drive in the park, where you will have the chance to see various wildlife such as rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and more. The park is also home to several predators, including lions and leopards, which you may also have a chance to seeOne of the highlights of Lake Nakuru National Park is its rhino sanctuary, which is home to both black and white rhinos. The park has been successful in its efforts to conserve these endangered species, and you may have a chance to see them during your game drive.Another highlight of the park is the lake itself, which is a soda lake that is home to millions of flamingos and other water birds. The lake's pink hue is a result of the large number of algae and other microorganisms in the water, which provide food for the birds.After your game drive, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.


  • After having breakfast at your lodge in Lake Nakuru National Park, you will start your journey to Masai Mara National Reserve. You will travel through the beautiful Rift Valley, passing by small towns and scenic landscapes. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to stop and take photos of the breathtaking scenery.Upon arrival at Masai Mara National Reserve, you will check into your lodge, which will be your home for the next three nights. The reserve is located in southwestern Kenya and is home to an abundance of wildlife, including the famous Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo). It is also known for the annual wildebeest migration, where millions of wildebeests, zebras, and other grazers cross the Mara River in search of greener pastures.After checking in, you will have lunch at the lodge and then have some time to relax and settle in. In the late afternoon, you will go on a game drive in the reserve, where you will have the opportunity to see various wildlife species such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, and more. The game drive will last until sunset, after which you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.


  • On these two days, you will embark on full-day game drives in the Masai Mara National Reserve, which is one of the most popular wildlife reserves in Africa. The Masai Mara is home to an abundance of wildlife, including the "Big Five" (lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinoceros), as well as other predators such as cheetahs and hyenas. You will have the opportunity to see these magnificent animals up close and in their natural habitat.During the game drives, you will also have the chance to see other animals such as giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, impalas, and more. You will be accompanied by an experienced safari guide who will share information about the animals and their behavior, as well as the history and culture of the Maasai people who live in the area.The Masai Mara is also known for its spectacular scenery, with vast plains, rolling hills, and the Mara River, which is home to hippos and crocodiles.   • After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Naivasha National Park, which is located in the Great Rift Valley of KenyaLake Naivasha National Park is a popular destination for wildlife viewing and birdwatching due to its location in the Great Rift Valley of Kenya.The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and antelopes, which can be spotted grazing on the open grasslands.One of the main attractions of the park is Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake that supports a diverse ecosystem of aquatic and birdlife.
